Art Envi Deluxe app good for
I basiically want an iTunes of painters via this app with the ability to add to it, both by adding new paintings to any given artist, or add my own artist I like....can that be arranged. I would pay 10.00 or more for that....,great app though.
Hundreds of artists, I really like this application. Paintings may be viewed in portrait or landscape, use two fingers to zoom etc..
What this app does, it does well. That being said, there are some areas that need improvement. Most of the paintings names are not displayed while you are viewing them, also there is no information on any of the artists other than what period they painted in, as an art novice I would like to know these things. In the developers defense there is a view in safari button that you can use to get this info, but I find it awkward to use because theres no built in browser which means you exit and then re-enter the application manually.
As it stands, this is a very good app, with some tweaks it could be a great one.

Please add the works of master painter Arshile Gorky... We was one of the inovators of the abstact expressionism movement. Salvador Dali and Jackson pollack considered Gorky a major influence and mentor!

I love this app! Im not sure how to view my saved images though, help anyone?
I just uninstalled Art Gallery Premium for this. This has WAY more art, is fast, and also breaks art down by category. Im a huge fan of impressionism and am delighted I can see all of that art grouped together.
Some bad moments
This app drew me in with the feature of art genres and many more paintings than "Art Gallery Premium" which is what I used before buying this app.....I really have a problem with the speed of the app, its extremely slow compared to Art Gallery and I wish o wish you could just choose a genre of art, "Impressionism" for example and just shuffle through the artists, but you cant, so if an update in the future makes it faster and enables ya to run a shuffle of artists I will use it over Art Gallery Premium.
Saved art images are terrible quality.
The art images that you save to your ipod are bad quality.
Buyer beware, and not just about this company, for the entire apple application collection is riddled with deceptive practices.
Please update saying downloading password and logins. What does a thief care about pictures!!
Ive been using this program for a month now, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in art. Art students may find it to be most useful, but Im not an art student -- I just enjoy looking through the different galleries and discovering new artists.
The interface is clean and straightforward, but what is most impressive about the app is its comprehensive directory of artists and works. Im anxiously awaiting an update to this program, as it would greatly benefit from a feature to shuffle through artists randomly, and possibly a search function. Overall, it is an excellent value and I commend the authors for writing such a great app.
I purchased the basic version of this app. Looked up Caravaggio, the greatest of the Baroque artists. Less than half of his works were displayed. Well, ok, I thought, I must need the deluxe version. So I purchased this one too. Same result. This is not only a pathetic effort by the developer, but it renders the app useless if you want to view a specific painting--you dont know if its going to be there or not. Still waiting for a decent gallery program that will at least display the entire catalogues of major artists.
For a paid app, the advertising is incredibly obnoxios. This would be a four to five star app with just one ad per artist, but an ad between every slide??? This is a great way to make sure I never click your link. Really too bad.... The selection of works us stellar.
